The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin Branch, SMH Kosemani Esq., has commended His Royal Majesty, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle, Ilufemiloye, the Elemona of Ilemona, for his remarkable contribution to the development of the justice system in Kwara State through the construction of the Magistrate and Area Courts in Ilemona.

In his goodwill message delivered during the commissioning ceremony, the NBA Chairman noted that the edifice will not only bring justice closer to the people but also enhance access to justice for Ilemona and its neighbouring communities. He described the court structures as being of commendable quality and in line with the standards expected of courtrooms.

The Chairman, accompanied by the Welfare Secretary, Jimba Saka Abdulahi; Assistant Secretary, Muhammed Oganija; Chairman of MULAN, Assoc. Prof. Taofeeq Abdulraheem; FIDA Chairperson, F. F. Balogun; and Mistura Muhammed-Yusuf, applauded the collaborative spirit between the traditional institution and the judiciary. He congratulated the Chief Judge of Kwara State, Honourable Justice A. A. Adebara, for witnessing such remarkable milestones during his administration as Chief Judge.

During the ceremony, Afeez Adebayo narrated the process through which the edifice was put in place by the Elemona of Ilemona, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle, Ilufemiloye, highlighting the community’s commitment to supporting justice delivery and strengthening the rule of law.

The NBA Chairman further congratulated the Honourable Chief Judge of Kwara State, Hon. Justice A. A. Adebara, for the overwhelming support received from communities across the state in providing courtrooms in various jurisdictions. He stressed that such initiatives complement the efforts of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, in advancing the justice sector.

In concluding his remarks, the NBA Chairman urged the Executive Chairman of Oyun Local Government to ensure regular maintenance of the court structures to preserve their quality and functionality for the benefit of the people.
